Making JEM Rosewood Fingerboard Darker w/o Dye

I have heard that applying boiled linseed oil, followed by lemon oil is a safe and effective way to make a rosewood fingerboard darker. Anybody tried that or can recommend another way? This will be on a brand new JEM77BK and I don't want to do anything permanent to it!

This is the best stuff for rosewood, and ive used it on 3 high end Ibanez guitars. Best thing you can do is buy some.....

dont even touch lemon oil

Just get bore oil. It's the stuff they used for woodwinds like clarinets that are made from ebony. It's really easy to find, much easier than Bore Doctor.

Dont look to into it. but if the first pic shows to much brightness then all you really need to see is the after shot, cause thats what the neck looks like in person. Dark and yummy !!!

Thx for the feedback - I appreciate it. This is not the first forum someone has recommended Bore Doctor so maybe that's the road I will pursue.

Bought bore doctor also from Europe, no problem and delivery was quite fast.
The stuff is extremely cool.
