My first Jem - 1987 Jem 777 SK (thank you RICH) 56k beware
Hello to all and a late happy new year. Three days ago, i got the best new year present ever - the safe arrival of my very first Jem. At first, i was going to dish out about 3000$ cad for a Jem 7VWH. Which, would not have been that bad. It's a great guitar, but let's face it - there are some everywhere. It's by far the most popular Jem for good reasons, but i wanted something that could stand out beyond standing out. A jem 7VWH really makes a statement next to a bunch of Gibsons and Fenders, but which one do you spot first when you put the 777 trio next to it
.
So i looked up Ibanezrules because everyone here said good things about it. I couldn't trust just anyone. Most of the good members here are hard working adults and wise elders, so if i was going to buy offline, i'd follow that advice. Ditto on that btw. Anywho, so i looked at his stock - nothing said "buy me" so i emailed Rich and he told me to look back soon as he was going to update. He said he might have an early 777, but it was going to cost me.
The serial number is 870288. I've checked around, and that seems to be one of the earliest Jem's around. There are a few flaws on it which are normal considering it was amongst the firsts ones made. The shape is a little bit more round as i find the ones that came along 88 and so on have a sharper contour. Also it comes with a Palm rest. What a godly design that thing is. It really sucks that they weren't able to produce it. At first i thought it would limit the playability of the bridge, but you can dive all the way in and out without having the palmrest block.
Thanks again very much Rich. One day, when i am done with school, i shall do some business with you again. Hopefully get myself a swirl. !

So again thanks to Rich and i apologize for the huge text, but i do talk a lot and i am really still excited about all this. Anywho, imma go tear it up with my new Jem some more!

It's a known fact the Rich is "the man" when it comes to retailer. I've bought a few from him and I will buy more in the future. Rich can be blunt, but he is the most honest and straightforward person I ever dealt with. Sweet guitar, I bet she plays like a dream.

Re: My first Jem - 1987 Jem 777 SK (thank you RICH) 56k beware
I paid lots. I paid approx. 2200$. Believe it or not, with the canadian dollar being on par with the USD, this was still cheaper than buying a new Jem 7vwh! And this one will keep it's value. I will post some new pictures tonight too and keep them in full res. Honestly, they were nice and big before, but the website wouldn't let me post them. Saying i wasn't authorized to use IMG tags.
so i copy pasted the stuff i wrote and started over uploading pics.
Thanks for all the comments guys. Dreams ? Everybody has those, but not every guitar can play as good as she does.

If it's in great shape with the palm rest that price isn't way out of line. These aren't popping up every day guys
Nice guitar man, just the thing to occupy you totally for a while
