Don't get the finish fixed up - leave it alone!!!!!! there's a beautiful guitar showing 18 years of love and usage! And besides, if you get her resprayed, you'll be SOOOO depressed when you put your first ding in the shiny new lacquer - the way she is, you'll never worry too much about just getting on with the job of playing the living daylights out of her!

Yeah, that necks in great shape, don't worry about it. Just make sure you don't let the stings get rusty and always wash you hands before you play and I shouldn't get any worse.

yeah i talked with a local luthier today and the only way he saw the paint getting fixed is to strip it and re finish it which i definitely don't want to do. i do want to fit it with an 88 bridge pickup (or at least a pink paf pro from that era) case, knobs and back plate. is the uv1000 case the one that was released with the jem's in 88?
