My first JEM! The 7DBK

Just want to share the feeling of having the first JEM. I've been dreaming to have one since long time back. Now I finally have one. I really want the 7VWH but it's too much for my budget. Anyway, I'm very pleased with the 7DBK. It rocks!

I got it used from ****. It's still in pretty good shape though. I'm just curious what are included accessories if you buy it new. The guy gave me only the tremolo. Are all wrenches normally included with the guitar? Nothing serious. I think I can get allen wrenches from HomeDepot or somewhere.

Thank you guys. This forum/jemsite give me very useful information. I'm very happy with my first JEM. Hope there'll be some more.

AvY

Congrats on the JEM arty:

You can see the stuff included with a new JEM right here in the Ibanez Toolkits and New Guitar Accessories links. With a used Ibanez, getting anything more than the tremolo arm is a bonus... glen

Congrats on your new 7D! I love mine! Evil and elegant at the same time ... what a concept! Sorta like if Hannibal Lecter was a guitar, this is what he'd look like (saw Hannibal again tonight so it's on my mind ... LOL).

If you don't love this guitar I will be very surprised. I won't even play anything else now! Have fun!

Wise saying from back in the day: "Keep your metal heavy and your hammer hard!"

Yes...the 7D is fantastic- I haven't picked up the Parker since I got the 7D last Wednesday! I like it a lot better than the 7V (tone/sound-wise), but that's just personal preference . It also has some understated elegance going on, rather than the Liberace-ish flare of the 7V.

When the wife lets me (in a couple years), I'll be working on assembling my own MC, but for now, I love the 7D.

Congrats on the guitar!

1.) SEND THE GUITAR BACK IMMEDIATELY
2.) DEMAND A REFUND
3.) GO BUY 5 MEXICAN STRATS

Of course I'm kidding, congratulations on the great guitar!

Now plug it in and learn to play Jibboom

My DBK is called 'Devo' (ie my jemsite name)
as once it sported a set of Evolutions hence the EVO bit combine that with DBK and you get DEVO,

now the breeds are back in but the name has stuck I kinda like the devolution idea

I played a DBK and a VWH back to back the other night. Is it just me or does the DBK seem lighter?

I dunno, I'm probably smokin crack again. But it sure seemed a little lighter.

My DBK's name is actually Jenny (my favorite fem name) but her nicknames are "Asphalt Daemon" or "The Chunk Beast". My buddy calls her the chain saw ... LOL!
