my new 777vdy :)

at last the wait is over.as most of you's probs know ive been after a dy or vdy for many years,22 to be exact its totaly stunning, the yellow is very very vibrant.it has a few nicks here n there but hey its nearly 20 years old and you have to look really close to notice the marks.ive been like a kid on christmas day.it stands at the bottom of my bedroom and when i wake up and see it,its like holy s.h.i.t look at that its freaking awsome, bit like waking up and seeing jessica simpson standing at the bottom of your bed dressed in sussy's i thought my 7vwh was the best looking guitar ive ever seen but this thing is just awsome on the eye.camera's dont do these dy's any justice if you havent seen one in the flesh before i can asure you it would blow you away.sorry i cant upload any pics (usb ports not working) you need to see a dy in the flesh to see the real beauty.i swapped it for 2 mighty fine guitars rg2550z (fitted with pink evo's) and my 777vbk,some say im mad but i dont regret a thing.also like to say thanks to lewis mann for coming all the way from lincoln to do the swap, super nice lad

Re: my new 777vdy :)

I understand why you did what you did(swappin axes), 2 yrs ago I sold my UV777BK & Jem BRMR to buy my pink J-Custom, & I have never regretted it once since. You got to get what you want 1st & foremost, who cares what others think anyway. Besides your 777VDY is better looking (IMHO) than the axes you swapped for it, & probably plays better too. That is the golden age of JEM , before we got stuck with black & white Jems(the Dark Times). Congrats & post LOTS of pics too! Not many VDY's around.

Re: my new 777vdy :)

thanks lads.i love all the jem series but especially the dy's.ive wanted one since 87-88,the dy is the reason i started playing guitar.i went to see a band play at my local club (1987-8 and the lead guitarist had a brand spanking new 777dy,it totaly blew me away but with a price tag of Ģ1700 i never thought id ever get one.thats the finish with buying guitars for the forseeable future, although i will get a jon sykes les paul eventualy as for the guitars i swapped for the vdy,i will miss the vbk as it was a lovely player and sounded great and was the first proper jem i had,as for the rg2550z i wasnt fussed on it anyways.ive learned my lesson buying outside of jem's ive had some great guitars but always end up selling them because i want another jem.i can sleep sound at night now knowing ive got what ive always wanted

Congrats! I bought a VDY last summer and has become my main axe (along wit a VSK!, but the VDY has the neck sanded an is more playable). Mine is pictured in the gallery section by Jemaholic, but pics donīt do justice of any 777 guitar. I promise you pics of the fluoro-twins when I got a good one with the VSKīs correct color.

yep thats gorgeous.shame the neon doesnt show up that good on camera with these dy's.im going to play mine everyday i never buy guitars just to collect dust or just to say i have one.i look after my guitars n gear the chances of any damage to my vdy is vurtualy zero.

Re: my new 777vdy :)

So you got your VDY then! Personally, I would of kept the VBK and the RG2550, as their 2 great playing guitars. However, the VDY is a very nice guitar and I am sure it was worth the swap from your point of view.

I'll have to come through sometime and try it out, mate.

Congrats on the VDY!
