My new JEM *pics inside*

Hi all, just registered here after I picked up my first Ibanez JEM7VWH yesterday.

It's a 2001 7vwh from the Ibanez Custom Shop (I got it from an endorsee). It's got the ebony fretboard, and the pickups are a Duncan Jazz/stock jem/duncan JB with gold covers. I love it. Nicest feeling neck I've ever had - Period. The Lo-Pro Floyd Rose is very nice too.

Why does that not make any sense? I didn't think LACS made other peoples sig guitars for other people. Perhaps your just confusing custom shop for J-Craft.

But the gold pups look rather cool...

I think even pink pickups would look better in there than those.. Never really liked the appearance of the VWH whatsoever, but those pups really ruin even the last highlights the guitar's got :-|

LACS will mod stock guitars for endorsees, new paint jobs, pickup swaps, subtle alterations here and there.

What is wrong with you? Did I not just say I got it from an endorsee? It's a Japan made JEM, and manufactured in the U.S. custom shop.

and so much hate about the pickup covers, but I like the added bling :O . Goes good with the gold hardware.

Well, maybe built in Japan and MODDED in the LACS. I'd be willing to bet that the LACS received a stock Jem from Japan and then performed the requested mods for the artist. If they'd built it, they'd have stamped it. Still a cool looking guitar, even with the bling. Who was the artist?

I can't possibly see sending a guitar all the way from Japan to LACS just to install some pickups, any decent tech could do that in about 1 hour, including the people at the Japan factory.

I also dislike the gold covers... too muck gold to me.
And also the blue strap.

Other than that, the guitar looks in great shape, kudos to the ebony fretboard.
