My new JEM7V Wh - yum

Oh my God....this guitar is gorgeous. it arrived at my work yesterday so had to wait 8 whole hours before i could plug her in. I lleft the case open and spent most of the day checking her, thinking YOU'RE GONNA GET IT TONIGHT. ha ha. She looked amazing.....even better in the flesh as i'm sure most of you'll agree with but when she got plugged in, that's when she really came to life. I didn't know i was so good. ha ha. everything just seems so much easier to play thanon my PRS CU24. I LUUURVE her. I was reading a post the other day where folk where ditching their JEM's for various PRS....I just can't understand it. DOn't think i'll play the PRS again, it just feels so messy now (and overpriced) I also have a Parker P44 (one of the cheap ones) obviously the JEM kicks it's butt too. I've been reading this site for a while now, i discovered it when i was looking for an Ibanez guitars and your worship of the JEM's persuaded me i had to buy one. I'd like to thank all of you who made those comments coz you were so so right. I'm a JEMSTER for life. woo hoo. My GAS is kicking in........i so want another one for my back-up. any suggestions as to which one (a little cheaper would be good. he he)

Hey! congratulations on your new jem, enjoy it!
There's a recent thread about a good (cheaper) backing guitar for the jem, look around and you'll find it.

Yay! Welcome to the new Jemster.

You've just ruined every other guitar you'll ever play for yourself. Within two weeks of first getting my Jem I got to play some J Customs. I was just playing them saying "I made the right choice". Mmmm, Jems.

you didnt like j customs?? i have the jem and the j and the jem in my opinion is a touch harder to play , not as well finished and dont look as classy. yes before i am asked both guitars are set up the same. dont get me wrong i love the jem and the sound is great but the custom is sweet, maybe i missunderstood you but it sounded like you didnt like the j , which one you play?

Re: My new JEM7V Wh - yum

CHeers guys..................i still can't get over how much easier it is to play compared to the PRS which i'd had professionally set-up. Guess that JEMs are just the guitar for me. Thank God I found her

Just been looking at the Dimarzio Clip Lock Strap and a Planet WAves Spin Lock strap..............anyone know much about them, I'm just worried that the plastic parts may mark my little beauty

On another note, have any of you guys named your JEM like Vai does, if so what have you called him/her/it ????

Question

Re: My new JEM7V Wh - yum

yes mate, both my guitars have names, they are:

"the blue one"
"the wood one"

why would anyone name their guitar ???
or is this practice of naming a guitar a common occurance ?
