My new UV777BK : THANKS Shane !!!

Just got my UV777BK delivered that I bought from Shane Regal. Condition was pristine, bullet proof packed, setup tiptop, a truly amazing guitar. Simply the most beautiful guitar I've had in my life ....

And those chrome knobs do look way better than the original black ones !

Can't wait to be home to try it out !

A big UP for Shane, many thanks for the very cool extras too ! I'll give her a good home !

Thanks also to jemsite for being such a cool community, a few years ago I wouldn't have bought unseen guitars from people I don't know !

Long live Jemsite and Shane !

For those who missed out pics are here :

man, i love those UV777BK's.

they were the first 7-string i ever played, and i loved everything about it. except for that stupid pyramid on the body.

congrats, buddy.

What keeps amazing me is the playability of this thing ! I feel more comfortable than on my 77FP ... which was hard to beat !

It feels absolutely great and plays like butter. The attention to detail is also astonishing.

Guess it'll become my main player very soon

is it just 7 strings in general maybe? I just love the wide yet thin necks on my universe and my RG7's. And yes, my UV7BK blew me away too. At first, when i got it, i was underwhelmed, but then i was like "This isnt set up very good". So i gave it a good setup, lowered the action/pickups, adjusted the bridge, put my kind of strings on and low and behold, the best playing guitar i've ever owned.

I totally agree on the neck. For instance, I play all the songs that I know on the six string, better and more comfortably on the UV, even when not using the low B for a single note ... I just love those wide necks I believe.

Well the most difficult part for me (I'm pretty new to 7 strings) will be to actually really incorporate that low B smoothly in my overall playing, which will take some time, thanksgiving week-end is a perfect timing

Hey all!
I'm a rookie here but I'm also a proud owner of a universe! Got mine about 3 months ago. It's almost stock apart from the cosmo-black hardware. I'm also planning on building a new white pearl pickguard to it cuz it might give a bit of an antique feeling... I'll post pics if anyone is interested....

So, here are some pics of my universe...

Body :

In a case :

Headstock :

As you can see, the original hardware is replaced with cosmo black ones and the volume and tone knobs are a bit different from the originals... next I'm gonna do is a white pearl pickguard to it.
