Cool

My very first ACTUAL swirl!!!

Unlike the Murdered Clownburst, this one actually came out pretty good. I think I used a bit to much paint and got some runs, but over all not to bad. Lemme know what you guys think.

Re: My very first ACTUAL swirl!!!

For your first swirl, that's AWESOME! There are a few spots that aren't that great but there are also some really really nice areas with all that micro action that you can get lost in. Pretty cool color choices too, don't think I've ever seen them together but they work really nicely together.

So, are you gonna clear it? Is it going to be a full assemble or are you just going to keep dipping until the mona lisa appears

PFFFT Mona Lisa!!! You're supposed to keep dipping it until Jesus appears. Remember that woman that was able to sell a Grilled Cheese sandwich for about 3million USD (I think it was 3 million at least) because it got burnt in such a way that it looked like Jesus. Now imagine how much that would be if it was a Guitar instead of Grilled Cheese.

Re: My very first ACTUAL swirl!!!

I think that its definatly good enough to keep. I have another body or 3, and some new paint coming soon to, so no reason not to clear and assemble it.

I like your nail gloss

Guitar: I sort of like it actually, but as I often see the back is probably nicer than the front.

Thats my "assistants" nail gloss. I will tell her you like it. She didn't look at the charge when she got that job done and ended up paying $53. Ya gotta watch EVERYONE these days. its a real bummer. Definatly not gonna quit now. I have several paint schemes in mind, plus I have some neon colors from House of Kolors on the way. Just getting started.

Re: My very first ACTUAL swirl!!!

I will also say, that for your very first swirl it came out pretty good!

Did you remove the paint before pulling it out like here at 02:30?
OK, due to my post count I'm not allowed to post links.
But if you hit youtube and enter swirl, it's the very first video with the black, green paint in the bucket.

It also looks like you went almost straight down and didn't move it right and left like
showed in the video, or maybe that wasn't the swirl you were going for.

Re: My very first ACTUAL swirl!!!

Actually, when I did this swirl, I started at the bottom edge of the guitar and I put it in at an angle from the bottom where the knobs go to the top horn. Unfortunately I had a shallow dipping tub. I have fixed that though and plan to do another swirl this week. We will see how that comes out. Thanks for the feedback guys!!

It would be pretty neat if the back and front were reversed.
