Mysterious model Jem777 please identify

Gday all

I have this awesome Steve vai Jem 777 poster. I have shared this in the past with jemsite, but then I came to realise that there was a jem in the photo that is not on any website i have seen.

Someone tell me if they have ever seen this jem in person

I assume its the exact same guitar as this one
http://www.jemsite.com/jem/model/jem7pbk.htm
but its got pink Dimarzio's and no pyramid inlays

Id love to own this guitar, are there any around even the white models, or are they hard as hell to find ??

And further still, it has dot inlays as opposed to the PBK pyramids.

But, no, I've never seen this guitar anywhere else before. I'd guess if it was produced it was a one off for Vai, but that is purely speculation

The only jem that comes to my mind that even looks like that (becuase of that handle) is the rootbeer, But that has black pups if my mind serves me right!

I'm preety sure that if steve asked the Ibanez would not have a problem installing pink puffs and an RG neck on a PBK body for testing purposes or something.

Most definatly it says JEM in blue writing, but the other word I cant read, but looks like Series, so I think it says "Jem Series"

I always thought the root beer model came out after the 777 series and this giant poster is advertising, so why would they put a prototype on a commercial poster.

Anyways I want one bloody hell, any others care to shed some light

RICH ?

Apparently its a root beer..
In the book "Ibanez, The Untold Story" are pictures of the set while shooting the add. There you can see it is indeed the Jem7RB. In the end result of the add, you hardly recognize the Jem7RB by it's color.[/

RB's have pink pick-ups you r-tards

No mystery here. A lot of RB's are darker than you think, and remember how ****ty photography was in the 80's.

This is what i might have looked like.

http://www.jemsite.com/jem/photos/jem7/7rb2.jpg

You might not recognize it by it's color, but it is one of two officially released jems to bare the original grip design, and is of course the only bare pink pick-ups and a dotted fretboard. By process of elimination, even at a long shot , i'd still point to the RB.

RB's are ugly as hell. Don't like them at all. They're like the Telecasters among JEMs..

[Seriousity]No, no, no. This is no RB. It's obviously black. And the 80's were digital enough to tell a RB from a mystery Jem![/Seriousity]
