Neck pickup on my 88DY

Hi folks,

Well, after years of service, the pink Paf Pro in the neck has given up on me. The wiring is fine, it's just given up the ghost on output. Probably mourning for it's bridge brother that did the same about a year back.

I've now got a black evo2 in the bridge; and was wondering on your suggestions for a neck pickup. Gotta be a Dimarzio of course; but not fussed about it being a Paf, I am open to a bit of variety....

So what pickup? more to the point.....WHAT COLOUR (pink in the middle, black on the bridge at the mo....)

I like that the color is more important than the model. LOL

you might be able to send the old one back to dimarzio and they'll fix it. can't hurt to try...

You could go white or yellow or maybe even green. If it were mine, i'd go for the original color.

Just sourced a pair of pink Evo's; so the black Evo 2 will be coming out of the bridge (I have something to put that into ) and it will be returned to all pink pickup glory!!!!

I have been thinking about a Evo2 Breed combo also. How do you like the EVO 2?

If anything it's a bit overly hot; means i have to set up different patches for it compared to my VSBL. Though I think it will be right for my other project...

The Paf's sounded amazing, but i use the DY for experimenting...

colour aside, breeds are really excellent pickups.
I have a guitar with EVO's
a guitar with paf / TZ combo
and one with all breeds.... and thats the guitar I keep going back to..
