New arrival 20th

It is with great pleasure that I announce to you the girth of my new arrival (same girth as the other jems).
It came in weighing many pounds.
It wasn't quite wrapped in cotton wool but it was wrapped in the most plush and padded case I have ever seen with engraved type plaques inside and out, no serial or issue number on the plaque.
The case is a good 3+ inches deeper than usual.
It doesn't do much until you play with it and when you pull it's tone knob it soon lights up.
It is more or less perfectly setup, well balanced but heavy.
This baby can cry, scream and giggle. It can hold on to a note for ages.
It came with a full set of accessories, a birth certificate, tags and very thick book on the complete history of it's entire family.
We haven't thought of a name yet, will let you know soon.
I can confirm that this baby will not be baptised or circumcised.

I am looking forward to it joining is older brothers and sisters as well as it's American cousins.

Seriously it's such as shame something so unique and beautiful is almost too valuable to play.

Switching the lights on doesn't make it sound any better but you feel obliged to do it.

All I need now is a 10th and a DNA and I'm happy for now, until the next anniversary model.

Do you think there will be a 100th HAM model next year?

I can't reveal my source unfortunately otherwise it will be a case of killing the golden goose.

I just couldn't get a straight answer or price out of the UK distributors or any of the dealers. It's as though I was talking another language.

Can I have a Jem 20th please and how much is it?

The reply was they are all sold out but every dealer seems to have one and not have one all at the same time.

Prices varied from £3500 to £4000
I got mine for less but not by a huge amount less.

No offense man but, you sound as if you were being questioned by the US Senate. What would "your source" do if you say who it is? The only thing that may happen is that you get a thank you call for giving that person the business.

Maybe the 200 US sent 20ths are suposed to stay in the US. Ibanez may not want a US dealer to sell outside the US and perhaps the dealer could get in trouble with Ibanez if they found out.

I have no clue if any of this is true, just a guess.

Sorry for the cloak and dagger. Exactly what was suggested.

If I was to reveal the source the USA distributor would get into trouble and it would mean that my source would not be able to supply me with any future Jems at significantly less than the UK rip off prices. The same guy also supplied me with a Charvel EVH art series at about half the UK price.

The only downside is that I probably don't have a warranty.

I'll post some pictures with it's brothers soon as move house and get to display them.
