New Blue Jem - Picture mock up - New Blue Jem - Picture mock

G'day all,

After seeing that new blue jem, and having read the replies to the original post, I thought I'd make a mock up in Photoshop to see what it mike look like if you added blue pickup covers and a blue pearloid pick guard.

You can see my pic at the following address :

looks cooler than the real one. even if it had black pickups, and vol/tone knobs it'd look better than the real one.

Wow, that is sweet. *I like the one with the black PU's and tone knobs myself, the other blue one is a little too much blue for me *;-)

I really like the second pic better than the actual one though! *Actually I kinda like them both better because they arent as plain.

Of all the pictures presented so far I will have to say that the original VBSL looks the best.

The blue with the perloid looks great. I'd still like to see an all blue with a blue perloid guard. --rvj

The pearloid guard looks very 555 on it.

You'd figure that Hoshino put blue knobs on it that they would have matched the pick-ups. *I think blue p'ups would make all the difference.

Try black pickups and knobs, etc, with a mirrored blue pickguard.

G'day,

VaiIsGod : I have a heap of pictures I've collected online over the last year or so of all kinds of guitars. The Black pickups are from the industrial finish JEM that was out last year, the blue ones are just the white ones on the original picture tinted blue. In Photoshop anything is possible so it's a great way to see what colour or component version works best for you. It saves $$$ when your thinking of a custom paint job too !. : )

I even did a Photoshop version of my house, before I decided on a colour.

Anyway it's just a bit of fun, and it's cool to see what people think about colour combinations etc. I think Vai might have the final say before a guitar goes into mass production though ?
