New JEM7V WH or JEM77V BK?

I am a newcomer to the forums and I have recently been smitten with the JEM line of guitars. I am looking to purchase a new JEM (my 1st one!) and I keep going back and forth between the white and the black. I like both models. I know the white one is popular since Vai plays one a lot.

Interestingly enough, I was talking to the Guitar Center manager today and nation-wide they have plenty of white JEMs available. However, the black model will not be available through their supplier until late April, early May. It seems the black one does not sell near as well. Will one color be worth more ten years from now?

I think it's a decision what pups you prefer, EVO's or Breeds.

There's also tonewoods, alder (VWH) or basswood (VBK). After that, it's color preference.

Personally, I like the VBK, but I don't have a preference as to the pickups. The Breeds are just outright sweet, and the evolutions are super modern. That would make no difference. And, you could always swap out the pickups for ANYTHING.
