New to a Jem7V.

Hi everyone.

I've never played a Jem before, I've been wanting one for years but could never afford it.

I'm getting a Jem7VWH in a few weeks, and I'm sure there are plenty of people here who own one or are experienced with one.

So I was wondering if you had any advice for when I do get it?

Like, what not to do, good ideas for better tone? You don't have to get real specific... think about maybe things you've learned about it that you now take for granted that someone who had never played one wouldn't know.

I just don't want to mess it up, I know I'm going to be afraid to play it when it's brand new even.

Thanks so much for even reading this post, I knew it's newb'ed to hell and all, hope it doesn't annoy anyone.

Don't worry too much about chipping the finish too much, if you spend all your time worrying you'll not enjoy the guitar as much as you can, which is one hell of a shame.

I think the tone's about as good as it gets, full stop, period end of discussion. So perhaps just turn the volume on the amp up a bit when you play to get maximum enjoyment

I've played a lot of guitars. Gibsons, PRS, Tom Anderson. I've never found one that played better than my JEM7VWH. It has incredible action and playability and the sustain and tone is just incredible.

I used to think it was the pickups, but I have the same pickups installed in other guitars that are nowhere near as good.

Enjoy your new guitar!
