Question

New Tremolo for 2008 prestiges?

Just wondering if anyone has touched on this question or not? If these new Z-edge tremolo's are Ibanez's new rage for the 2008 prestiges, then why do the Steve Vai & Satch models still have the old Edge pro bridges in them for the new 2008 catalogue??? Weird?

The new Z-Edge trem may not be the bridge that Steve Vai worked on after all? Or is it?

It's not. Steve's new trem I'm pretty sure is what he modded on Flo II. All 2008 signature models will retain the Edge Pro as far as I know.

I thought that was from several years ago and it's not the new trem he's working on.

IMO, my prediction is for a hardtail-type trem (non-locking) for the new Steve Vai signature Jem, appearantly the new Satch model is a hardtail.

This is correct. THe FLO II linear trem seem a few years back is not what Steve is doing with Ibanez.

That's what I've been telling you guys..

I won't say what it is until Steve himself says it's ok...one obvious thing though is that the new trem he and Ibanez are working on is not a hardtail...

This EZ trem won't be available on ALL prestiges. The RG1570 is still going to have the Edge Pro and the signature lines will continue with the EP until the )other) new trem is unveiled by Ibanez (the one QS is referring to).

Maybe you can answer this question as it does not give anything away, is the new trem that Steve is working on swappable with the Edge Pro?

It's so amusing to read comments from "people who know the facts", yet they are afraid to talk about it. If you know what the deal is with the trem, tell us about it. It's not like Steve's going to knock on your door and smack you upside the head quicksilverdrew

I think it is respectable on his part to not spill the beans especially since he is related to Steve. I saw posts elsewhere with his quotes from jemsite.com and lots of people commending him for he "respect" he has shown here.

Besides, we'll see it soon enough.....Summer NAMM?
