Newbie question about new vs. old

I have been wanting to buy a JEM 7wwh, and I finally think I am going to do it. I have a question about the new tremelo on these guitars. Are they as good, or better than the older trems? What are the differences other than looks betwix these? Thanks in advance for stats and opinions.

i have an 03 universe with the new Edgepro tremolo, and its really good. no problems with these one.
Compared to the Edge tremolo on my ibanez rg570 its the same feel just different shape, some new thinks like no need to cut the ball to the string(but i like to string it from the headstock it looks cooler) and one string more.

I'm just such a fan of the original edge that I'm not sure I could get used to anything else. All of my Ibanez guitars are the older models. I had a newer RG a year or so ago but i ended up selling it. I just like the feel of the older ones better. Having said that , I've not even played one of the new bridges yet so I'm not really sure about them.

Buy it from Rich, have him swap the studs for you.
