Here ya go boys and girls. This is my 06 7V. Swirls by Tommy at Pickguard paradise. I couldn't stand the gold any longer. JJemmer you will like this. Of course I had to put Breeds in her as well. Also pictured my 94RG550LTD Purple. Yes, it also has Breeds. It's so pretty it brings a tear to my eye. Next in line is my 01 7V, 99 RG7620, 87 RG550RF, 90 RG550 salmon pink, and my RT420 12 string. That's just a few of the gang. Enjoy! ........mo

It kind of looks like a modded RG, and doesn't have that JEM feel / look now for some reason.



Maybe its the clash of white & red from an art art/design perspective, but this is just my opinion...

Not keen on the pickguard, but it's better without the gold. Maybe a black pickguard... I dunno.

Your Road Flare RG550 just goes ZING though! Wow. Can't wait for mine now.

WOW ! A beautiful set of guitars ! You did a great job on your mod. I dont know if i would have been that bold on the pickguard, But we have a special custom order of swirled tortoise that would knock your socks off, which would look great for the white Jems and still keep it classic. We should have it in this week. It was custom made for our new line of guitars comming out within the next week or two. paradiseguitarsusa.com The new guitars will be on jemsite very soon. Hmmm...Moib......I'm not sure what to think yet.

I think I like it, but I'm not sure The original looks classier (or pimpier) but the modded looks.......well..... I can't figure out what it looks like Maybe like something an alien guitarist would be playing in the Animated "HEAVY METAL" It's kinda cool actually. How do the breeds sound in an alder body???

You know what? Yes I do. It's more in keeping with the rest of the guitar.

If no one minds me giving an an honest opinion, the vine and the swirl look wrong to me, like organic vs computer generated, and the JEM does now look like a modded RG... dare I say it.. a 350.

I would change the pickguard to a plain colour. Black, white, maybe a 3-ply white/red/white so you get the thin line of red in there for continuity and to tie it together, or just good old white/black/white so the guard blends in and you just get a black line.

Lastly, those Dimarzio controls knobs blend into the pickguard too much. Of course, this is just my opinion and taste, but if Moibanez likes it, that's great!

I was reserving my opinion, because it wasn't completely positive. Mind you, before I purchased the SBL I considered doing the same thing (removing the gold hardware), but I don't like the red & white. Looks like it went from one extreme (gaudy) to the other (cheap).

You know guys, I like the way it looks, and then when I look at it again it kinda looks...I don't know ,maybe not cheap, but out of place? Before I put the swirl on I had the DBK pickguard on it, so basically it was black and white with a mirror pickguard. I hate to say it but I think that looked better. I think a black pickguard would have really made it look better. It kinda didn't look right with the mirror on it. Maybe just straight up black and white? Uh oh, here we go again. Damn!! I swap the parts around on these guitars so much, I don't know what the hell to do. That means I need a set of white breeds. Banjomikes is going to love me , I've already ordered 3 sets of breeds in the las 3 weeks. Honestly I think the best looking guitar I own is the Purple 550. It also has Breeds in it. I also added the purple mirror truss rod cover from Tommy as well. As you guys know it changes color depending on the angle. Well I can't please everyone, I was kind of looking for opinions. Not that anyones opinions should mean a thing to me, but it's nice to hear different ones. I don't mind changing them around either. Me, my guitars, some tunes kickin and sitting in my workshop knocking back a few beers is incredibly peaceful. Lets see what I can come up with next. I'll try different things and post pics. I wont touch the 01 7V because that is absolutely mint. As much as I hate gold it must stay. Thanks for the iput, keep it coming..And don't worry about hurting my feelings, I don't have any...............mo
