OFR 7 in universe?

I was wondering if it was possible to put an OFR 7 string bridge into a universe body? Would there be any routing required? Im askin cause im assembling a lefty 7 string, in the image of a universe, and my friend thought it would be cool to do it along with me, but with a righty. Its alot easier to find an OFR 7 then it is to find an ibanez 7 string bridge ( i found one for myself though )

Re: OFR 7 in universe?

Well, I thought the bigger problem was actually FINDING an original Floyd 7... I wa sunder the impression you could on occasion find liscensed Floyd 7's (rightie, anyway), but that an original Floyd 7 was something that's existance had only been confirmed by a few pictures, nothing more?

Oh wait, HE'S the one looking for a Floyd, and he wants a rightie.

A quick search of Carvin's site shows a lisenced (not original) trem for $159.99...

http://www.carvin.com/products/singl...FR7C&CID=GTR/K

...and the matching nut for $16.99

http://www.carvin.com/products/singl...LN7C&CID=GTR/K

That nut is a LOT cheaper than Ibanez's... Anyone know if they're directly retrofitable? A $16 nut is a little more appealing than a $125...

Carvin's 7 nuts are top mount only.

Leave it to Rich to find this and burst my bubble in all of about four minutes.

Oh well. Easily worth it, for the privelage of using an Edge.

Re: OFR 7 in universe?

I ordered some, after specifically asking to make sure they were thru mount, to which they swore they were. Idiots.
