OH YES!!! A custom idea...

I dunno if this has been done before, but now my dream is to make a...

Universe Universe.

This guitar will be a UV body, with claw routing and handle, AANJ, Wizard neck, ebony fretboard, alder or basswood body, EMG 707 pickups. But the special things are-

A swirl of black, blue, green, and maybe white (kind of like the colors of the Universe)
The same inlay as the VAI2KDNA, but with this guitar, it has a more Universe feel to it, the dots are kind of thought as stars, I call the inlay kind of a 'Nebula' inlay. Glow blue in the dark clear pickguard, glow in the dark inlay, glow side dots, and glow headstock logo. 2 green or blue colored volume knobs (maybe 1 green, 1 blue?), and cosmo black hardware. Lo Pro Edge trem, etc.

Eh??? Sounds cool to me...

I, for one, love that idea and think it would look spectacular! Great thinking man.

Or you could sell a kidney or some other organ to spare and have both. Just an idea though. It does sound pretty costly, but if it's what you want, there's no better reason to do so. Hope it turns out good man.

Well I dunno, it was just an idea. I could always change my mind about the pickups. The main thing to it is the unique swirl and inlay idea...I wanted to see if anybody else thought it would be cool...

It is a kewl idea, personally, I would bag the DNA inlay though, and go with something more original, maybe the planets, and some kind of cosmic orbs or something inlayed on the neck, DNA inlay, well, that would look like a DNA inlay I guess, the strands on the DNA I think would look out of place with your cosmic idea, but planets or something would be kewl IMO

He said "Uranus".

Who says I'm nothing like Beavis or Butthead?

I like the idea. But wheresthebeef, wouldn't a JEM neck be too thin for 7 strings?

The planets as inlays!! That's a great idea

From the biggest planet to the smallest as you go up the neck

fret
3 jupiter
5 saturn
7 Neptune
9 Uranus
12 The asteroid belt between the inner and outer solar system
15 Earth
17 Venus
19 Mars
21 Mercury
24 Pluto and it's moon Charon (Charon is half the size of pluto so it makes a perfect double dot for the 24th)

how's this????

and if you don't like the asteroid belt at the 12th, just put the sun at fret 3 and move all the inlays forward by one position
