Oily leak on Jem neck

I have had this thing going on for quite some time. When I pick up my Jem (and not on my UV or other guitars) from its case these days I find a little bit of an oily leak on the back of the neck at about the level of the 2nd or 3rd fret.
This has happened a few times and Im wondering where this leak can come from. It's even more mysterious cause I just cant figure how the oil could leak from the machineheads cause I lay the guitar flat on the floor. These days it's quite hot over here and humidity rate is high too. Could these be the cause? Anyone has this problem and know how to sort it out?

It could be sacred. Ever heard of stigmata, and weeping statues of the Virgin Mary?

Lol!
But this thing is really freaking me out. It happens every 4/5 days or so. There's got to be an explanation.

Maybe the wood is still alive and growing. Could just be Sap?

Does the oil coincide with you eating pizza and playing Highway to Hell?

Exactly!!! I did touch the lining a few times to see whether there was oil on it...but my fingers stayed dry. But yesterday I just just put one of those thick paper kitchen towels over the area where the neck lays in the case. And it did pick up some oil...I smelled it and the mystery was further explained...that oily thing smelled exactly as my Dr Stringfellow...string cleaner
Guess I must have spilt it some time ago and with heat or whatever it would come up to the surface of the lining!

Mystery solved.

But hey, I nearly bought the candles...and as I'm a journalist...I nearly started writing an article about my own little miracle in my paper! lol

Guess I'll keep the scoop for next April fools day!

As a fellow journalist, I would recommend you continue with the article and just omit the ending
