Opinion on Jem77BFP...An unique guitar?? ;) - Jem77BFP Vs. O

Hi all!!
Well, talkinī with a friend about Jems, I find myself saying Jem77BFP is the best guitar compared to the other Jems until the Jem7VWh...higher models doesnīt enter in the contest.
Well, Iīve played a 7Vwh and yes, itīs a great guitar (the best after the 77BFP,IMHO...)

Well, estetically, I think it has no rival, the 7Vwh look like first comunnion Gift...and I really like the maple fretboard...

Well, itīs just one opinion, i know, but, limiting the duiscussion, what do you guys think about the Jem77BFP?? and specially compared to his same line Jem77FP?? Its a very discussed topic with some of my friends...Hope you enjoy this one!! xDD *

I prefer the floral myself - I think BFPs are too blue... As to differences in quality between the BFP and other Jems of the same period - they're aren't any. Your "opinion" has no basis in fact that I'm aware of - all these guitars came off the same assembly line with the same parts - the only real differences between your BFP and my '90 FP are cosmetics, and whatever tiny differences may exist between one guitar and another on a production line anyway. If you got a nice one, good for you, but you might just as well say "I own the best guitar in the world" as "My BFP is better than all other Jems" - it would have just as much truth to it either way

Jajajaja!!! OK Jimi D, youīre right...
I,ve always said "i think" , never *"I know"...
Posted this one for change of oppinions more for than disscusing...principally focussed in the PAF Pro Pick Ups, the unique maple fretboard and the look of the guitar...
What do you think guys??

I like the BFP more than the FP...the BFP is definately near the top of my jem list...maple + vine = awesome.....blue is an awesome color....i think it is a bit TOO blue however....i think it would look better with some different colors while staying mainly blue...that way, blue FPs, red FPs, orange FPs, etc. can all be made without looking too....i dunno....monotonous

Maple+vine=the reason i wanted the BFP above all others.

To me it's not so much that it's "too blue" as that not all the blues match each other.

I put up these pics a few months ago and they're still on my server if any of the newbies want to check 'em out (or if any of the oldbies miss 'em). *I put gold hardware on it and it makes a huge difference in the appearance. *A lot sharper, IMO, with the maple. *Aesthetically, the plain FP's are a little too 'girlie-man' for me (i better put the flame suit on for that comment).

The Blue EVO in the bridge makes a huge difference too - the pAF was too 'soft'.

here are the pics:

For me the BFP is one of the top 4 of the rare/collectible jems(the others being GMC, PWC and 90th anv).

I wanted to have one of those and picked the BFP. *It is the most I have or ever will spend on a guitar (I bought it last year and it was still new!!)

To me, it is not to blue, if anything it is a little greenish. *The BSB looks green to me to. *Maybe I need my eyes checked. *

I love the guitar and feel creative every time I play it. *The mable does give it a slightly different tone I think.

The great thing is, people who don't like JEMs think it is one of the prettiest guitars they have seen.

I've just picked up a BFP and I love it! *It's my first time with a maple neck and PafPros and it gets a big thumbs up from me. *

It could simply be that 'honeymoon' period, but I am reaching for the BFP more than the VWH, having said that, when I do pick up the VWH I love the contrast. *There is no way I would want to part with either of them!

I would also love to get my hands on an FP, but that may have to wait till I find a GMC followed by a PMC (and maybe a VDY)!! *

Wow Kenny, that looks great with the gold hardware! I love BFPs, wish I had one. My FP's patterns aren't the best, they layed out the cloth a little to the neck-side of where I would have prefered it, and it has a green leaf on the arm rest instead of the big pink flower, but I'm still very happy with her. She was my 1st Jem! I really like the maple neck on my DY, makes the pyramids look so good. I can also feel a big difference in the way the two necks play. It's hard to describe though.

While I don't particularly want a BFP, I do want Kenny's BFPg

With my particular setup and for my ear, I preferred the BFP over the FP. *My FP was a little too harsh for my solid state setup. *But the BFP surprises me with beautiful warm tones everytime!!

My main player is the DNA, followed quickly by the BFP. *The 7vwh's EVO's are also a little harsh through my setup though. *I'll be interested to try the whole excercise again with a tube amp.

As for looks the blue vine on maple gets me everytime.

Awhile back, I purchased a beautiful BFP from Dave Weiner-gorgeous guitar! *The thing is about as "mint" as I've ever seen. *I love the tone fo the PAF's, and the maple neck is great too-especially the blue vine inlay. *However....I HATE the tiny little frets! *I can't stand them! *I've toyed with the idea of having the neck refretted, but can't bring myself to do it. *So, it's more of a wall ornament for me than it is a player. *The PMC and DNA are my favorite feeling JEMS. *But...there's something about that blue. * Definitely a keeper!

Congrats on Dave's BFP. I dislike the clearcoat that is all over that particular guitar's fretboard. Not sure what went on there at ibanez ... glen

The BFP is my fave Jem. A little less outlandish than the FP, but not too conservative. I do wish it had bigger frets. Also for some reason the BFPs I've tried (had 3) don't sound as good as the FPs (had 2).

The BFP is purtier though.
