Dude! Firstly, put your location in your profile, so maybe someone near you can hook up with you. And thirdly, get yo' po' white ass over to Jemfest!

My BSB has a fantastic tone. I have discussed this with Glen in the past and there are theories that it has something to do with the body "breathing." This is similar to the idea behind the old Fender nitrocellulose finishes, etc. as per my understanding.
That said, I like my maple boards. They have a more bright, straight forward sound. The rosewood and ebony both seem toned down to my ears. However, just as with my BSB, all guitars are individuals and this is at best a loose association based on my observation.

I only have a DY... I changed the PAF Pro in the bridge to a Tone Zone... but the PAF Pro gave more character of the guitar... but I would like more output... anybody tried the Breed in a
maple neck
? Maybe I'll also try a
Evo bridge
..

I have a 88 DY and I love everything about the tones I get out if it. It still has the original
PAF Pros
in it with I think are the perfect combination with the maple neck. The PU's have great clarity (not muddy at all) plenty of gain without sounding distorted in both humbucker and single coil position. It is my main guitar on the stage and in my studio.

You know, I'm having the same problem as
Satch Boogie
, there is no one in New Mexico that stocks any Jems. I only have 1 electric and I've been saving up money for some time, and I was going to originally get an RG, but I figured I might as well go big while I can. So my first question would have to be, what Jem do I get, and then, where do I find one? As far as Jems go, I was going to get me a 7VWH from Rich, but with what everyone has been saying about them, I think that I might want to try for another, maybe an older one. Tone is VERY important to me, I spend hours after every setup with my Schecter (a hardtail at that) trying to get the tone I want, and I want a Jem that has an awesome sound.
