PAF7 for bridge of UV77BK

I know this has probably been posted a thousand times, but anybody with experience with these pickups, please help (even if it's a link to another topic). I noticed that the low end sound from the blaze pickups are lacking punch. Supprisingly, I like the bridge pickup from my RG7-421 a little better. While playing SOAD's "Aerials", during the chorus, I can barely make out the low end with the UV. Not very punchy at all. Now that I've obtained the UV, I want it to be my main axe, so in order for that to happen, I need it to sound the way I want it. Nice, thick, punchy lows with clear highs. Not the "EQ'ed-Out" sound the blazes put out. Please help!!

In the past year I've pretty much run the gambit on Dimarzios 7 string offerings; there's nothing they've mass produced that I haven't used extensively. Out of these the PAF7s and the Tone Zones are the winners; both are great but for different reasons. The PAFs are exactly what you expect them to be and want them to be; exceptionally warm and clear with little extraneous distortion....but kick the drive in and it's a whole different ball game. Those early Jem/Vai recordings? That's that PAF sound....

The Tone Zone is the polar opposite though....it's just a great all-out pickup; it's made for high gain sounds. It'll work for clean, but just barely at times. Kind of have to be careful with it I find...it's tough to pull the reins in with it as sometimes it's fun just to see how "all out" you can go with it.

So the PAF7 would be a good choice to boost up the low-end?
