Pick guard on Jem 77FP

Well, I finally found a place that had a 77FP, 2000 model brand spankin new. My question is about the pick guard. Is there a way of taking the guard off or does it show the screw holes? I am used to playing a Jackson without any guard and was just curious. Thx

Pick guard on Jem 77FP

if you remove a pick guard that is SCREWED onto the body, you will see the holes when the guard is removed. *

Next up, you'll have to body mount the pickups if they are not already on the guitar... glen

Pick guard on Jem 77FP

Just curious... What difference does it make if you are used to playing one without a pickguard? It isn't any harder to play one with a pickguard and the clear guard is barely noticeable.
