Pickguards?

Hello guys,
I searched and didn't find the answer, so here goes. Are the Jem and RG pickguards totally interchangeable, or are they a little different?

Well, if you juxtapose them the way I did here, you can see that they're different. The JEM's pickguard has a sharper end on the lower horn. On top of that, you can see that the pickguard of the JEM just has a somewhat different shape in general. The difference is very small, though. I bet if you placed a RG pickguard on a JEM, it would look and work just fine.

your screws are out to on my 2550 and jem they are identical , the screw by the volume pot is way off on the rg, i have changed beetween the jem and the rg and see no differance at all .

The screws don't line up, epecially on the control side.

Perhaps you're right, Bezial. In the picture above, the pickguard on the lower horn looks as pointy as on the JEM.

That RG 2550's pickguard looks pretty identical with JEM's pickguard to me.

Maybe the MIJ guards are the same, but different than the MIK?

Actually, I was doing some internet shopping and ran into a site that sold RG pickguards cheaper than Jem ones. And to me they looked awfully similar.
