pickup volume wtf!?

I have noticed that when on the neck pickup of my jem the low strings are much louder than the high strings, and its really pissing me off. anybody have any idea? The pickup height is adjusted properly.

Another thing I noticed, not having to do with the pickups htough, is my jem is extremely bright. Im new to this type of guitar so mybe its supposed to be? Im normally a strat player... anyways I suspected it might be due to the locking nut? but I tried a buddies new S series ibanez and it wasnt anywhere near as bright as mine.

Re: pickup volume wtf!?

On my guitar, I had to lower the bass side of the neck pickup much lower than the treble side to even out the volume. I think this is normal.

Re: pickup volume wtf!?

Same for me with the pickups. Also, the middle is no where near as powerefull as either humbucker, but that's to be expected I guess.
