Pictures ...... finally

It took a while to get round to photographing the whole squad, and I've been promising to get a shot of the BFP in. There's a bit of shadow in these but it was a good glare-free day for the high gloss finishes. Ibanez only in here:

2006 7VWH. You've seen one, you've seen 'em all.

1991 77BFP. Considering how much it's been played, it's in great nick.

Not sure about the year, must be around 2000 - 2001. RG7680Ltd1. 27" scale 7 string, glow in the dark binding and dots. Surface under the clear coat looks like hammered pewter in places.

I didn't know that 27'' scale 7-string.
How do you tune her?

It's a limited edition - Nuno has some great shots of one on his site http://www.ibanez87.it/ - that came out round 2000/2001? if I recall correctly. Tunes the same as any other 7 string, BEADGBE, but no flabbiness on the low end. You pay for that though because it's an absolute swine to bend! I need to do some experimenting when I restring, if I slot in a .65 or .70 at the low end I could probably get the tuning down to F# .... get some 8 string sounds without having to grow my fingers longer to reach both sides of the fretboard!

Glad you like it.
