PMC scallops

I was checking out the PMC that just got listed on the bay. First, it's the one that just sold for $3550 on May 31st, no big deal, so the guy is flipping it. But, look at the pic of the scallops on the top 4 frets. Is it just me or do they look like they were home-made? The bass side looks normal, but from the g to the high e strings it looks weird. Maybe it is just an illusion from the camera, but what do y'all think?

I don't think the scallops on those were always perfect.

The scallops on my DSY are slightly better (not curvy) but still not perfectly adjacent to the frets. (click for large pic)

Heya bro, when I viewed you're pics my first inclination was that the scallops were possibly modified or something because they look very rough (to put it nice) and quite unparallel to the frets. So I took a comparison pic of my BFP same angle as the PMC w/flash and then straight from directly above.

Check these, they do look quite different, So as yourself and Alfie mentioned it could just be the camera (flash induced distortion

) It would help to have a pic straight on with natural light

Same angle (check the curves toward the fret)

Straight on (noticible difference)

and BTW - don't you already have a PMC???
