Putting a JEM neck on an RG body

Howdy-

Can you slap a JEM neck on a RG body (550,570,770)? Of course if the neck was AANJ the body would be too. I just can't afford a JEM and love the neck. So I was thinkin'..."Why don't I put the best part of the JEM on my RG". Any input would be great. Anybody know where I can get a JEM neck? Not a replacement.

You cant buy jem necks new LEGALLY. Ibanez is really strict about the warranty. U can either buy one thats been salvaged off a junker (not gonna happen) or have one custom made. (or buy a 555 to take the neck, and all hardware (cept the trs trem) off of. Ive debated this myself. Id love to slap all the hardware from a 555 onto an rg520. Way better than doing a trs conversion and I want a guitar in blue anyways

Try eBay, or Rich Harris.

These are few hard to find without a body, so good luck!

Your best bet is to buy a JEM, swap necks, and off the body.

But there's noone willing to buy a Jem with the wrong neck, and if you've read correctly he posts that he hasn't got enough money for a Jem...

Keep an eye on E(vil)bay...it happens occasionally that a Jem neck shows up on there...one was just a few weeks ago. I seem to see them maybe every month or 2. Might have been the same one...lol
