question about Ibanez JEM 7vwh

Hello i was at the Guitar Center yesterday and was playing the 7vwh through a Line six bogner and through a Peavey JSX. Both of them gave me really good sustain. That was my first time playing a JEM and I wonder: was the sustain from the amps or the guitar itself? thanks, kirk

Hard to say, but if you were at Guitar Center, I would think you could have answered the question yourself by grabbing a completely different guitar and just plugging in.

since the guitar is similar to an RG Body and also the neck joint, i'd say you could replicate that sustain you heard easily on an RG with evos.

You won't go wrong with a 7vwh no mater, however guitars are like cars.....there's a seat for very arse!

I own two, an earlier ebony fretboard and later rosewood. I would say the ebony has better sustain. But remember the next one you pick up and play may not feel like the first!

The Bogner Line 6s are no joke they have balls! and sustain. they arent cheap tho...guess you getwhwtyoupay4, Jems have great sustain and high output pickups also so... the old 1-2 punch.

dont think so there mate.7vwh=alder rg=basswood theres a massive diffence in sound (tone).congrats on getting your 7vwh kid,best guitars on de planet,minus the neck which i hated.
