Iīm not luthier, but anyway i would like to know, how Jem 90HAMīs very special - looking coating is made?

The finish is applied as normal and then is selectively removed by "sand blasting" through a stencil to give the resultant effect.

Great, thanks. I was assuming about sand-blasting. But anything about the paint? It looks great!

The finish also has a practical effect. On a hot stage with warm lights and damp environment, the body doesn't stick to your skin.
In addition it has the wow effect to non Ibanez lovers.

The sandblasted finish does, however, eat up any fabric clothing: silk, wool, cotton, even denim.
