Rare 77DY/Vai clip!

This is a RARE one I've not seen before there is very little footage of Steve playing a DY live, so I deem this one a 'Must See' even though the audio is weak........thought I'd post in the "JEM" area if it's OK with the Mods.....

It's not Becker - that clip was from 02 I think.

The comments are funny. Alot of guys busting on Vai. I'll admit, he does look a bit out of place on that stage. He looked more at home with Whitesnake.

Re: Rare 77DY/Vai clip!

Is not Jason Becker, it's a guy from the tribute band "atomic punks" that replaced Russ. I'm not sure what his name is though, but it's definately not Becker.

Yep, Jason had a hard enough time finishing the recording for that album. Towards the end his hand would just fall off the guitar neck, and sometimes would stumble when he walked. He didn't tour for that album. Someone else took over. I don't know who though. Perhaps it was Brian Young. I don't know who that is, but I guess Jim is right.

I second that and can prove it with some gum, a piece of string and a note from my mom.

You're thinking of Becker on the "A Little Ain't Enough" album, which was '91. This clip is from the Dave and Sammy tour 11 years later, in '02.
