Red Lace arrives - pictures of Red Lace with Neville

I woke up all excited about Red Lace showing up, but then found out about the terrorist attacks and didn't think about Red Lace until she showed up.

Took a couple of pictures of her with Neville to hopefully get people's mind off of whats going on for a second.

I was quite amazed at how many pick scratches were above the pick guard, someone was really going to town. Other then the scratches its in great shape, and plays great as well (after adjusting the trem angle and intonating).

here they are, front, back, and closeup with all the scratches

Great photos! It's reunited with Nev! I'm sure it's a bright spot in your day.

I was expecting a new guitar I ordered, that was supposed to be delivered today, but I was so distracted with all that is going on, that I never even realized until now that it never arrived. Checked with UPS, rescheduled for tomorrow.

Congratulations on the axe! Have you plugged it in yet? Any of that Vai magic rubbing off on you?

Cool Cool Cool!

The scratching just ads character...What does it feel like to hold it and play it?

Congratulations on the guitar!

That's one of the lightest colored ebony fingerboards I've ever seen, almost looks rosewood.

Ever notice that a lot of Vai's custom shop models have different logo's on the headstocks than others.

I.E.:

Evo-Black "Ibanez" lettering without the JEM cursive lettering.

Red Lace-Looks to be silver or chrome Ibanez lettering, but far from gold.

Wonder what the reasoning is behind that...

If the neckjoints are the same, I'd swap necks. Each neck would look better on the other guitar, IMHO. Congrats on getting such cool guitars.

I'm so jealous that it's possible to be.

They're such a nice couple. The scratches doesn't pull down their value IMO. Just shows that Red Lace are a player, not a wall decoration.
