Very nice guitar, it would be almost perfect if the headstock would be swirled also.

Is it normal to have a red stalk on a VDY neck? Forgive my ignorance

I seem to remember Shadow's old Jem *MC prototype thing with the straight grip had a DSY neck on it too? Not sure about the colour of the vine on it though? anyone?

I'm pretty sure the vine on a DSY neck is invisible, entertwined around the pyrimids

Last VDY I had had a pink/red vine, I'm pretty sure there's nothing special there. I am trying to figure out when Dimarzio started embossing their name in the tops of the bobbins if anybody knows?

You should be able to tell from your collection, no?

Actually my collection is pretty weak between 93's and 00's, as in 1 guitar

They also might have started embossing p/u's for private sale long before they did for Ibanez contract p/u's, maybe not, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Maybe I should just call Blutcher when I can finally pry my head out of my ass and see daylight again

Well, FWIW, my '94 JS didn't have the embossed ones.

And the 94' Picasso Proto has it on one and not the other. (might have been assembled in late 94'/95' though)
