Root Beer

Anyone ever done a DIY Root Beer stain on Jem or other guitar? I was curious as to what color stain one would buy to achieve that color...

i haven't, but i decided the other day that if i were ever to strip the finish of my rg, i'd get a RB finish.

I have. Check it here, although I must move all pics to photobucket.... I burned the body in places and then put some clear wood varnish that changed the color very slightly. Finally I applied some automotive clear.
