Routing Templates For Sustainer??

Does anyone know where I can get a routing TEMPLATE kit for the Sustainer?

If you guys don't know I don't think anyone will.

Or...Please tell me the how much it would cost someone to drill these holes? ££?

I'd rather have the templates though as I've met a guy at work who offered to drill it for me but without the temps,it's a no go.

Re: Routing Templates For Sustainer??

I think the FSK-401, does have a plastic shape, which then you can invert on plexi and then use it as a route:

I have installed the FSK-101 in a RG570, just routed away until it would fit where I wanted it in the body.

Would that plastic shape be enough to hold the force of the spin up of the saw do you think? I'm only asking because the bloke bound to ask me.

Yes,

Stew Mac sells the router bits w/ball bearing for routers... you can also see the templates for routing a Recessed Floyd Rose Tremolo. Its made of plastic.

Re: Routing Templates For Sustainer??

If your routing on a completly blank piece of wood you can use the plastic piece as a guide, you just have to make a reverse template, basically you just take the plastic piece and trace it on a piece of scrap wood like thin plywood. then use the bits to cut it out. if its on an allready existing body you have to route a different area so it doesn't get in the way of the allready routed electronic cavity.

???? This will depend if its a front route under pickguard (JEM7VWH) or rear route like Floral Jems, even if its already routed you can still secure a template on the back and measure, you can use a doel to line some of the pots too.

When I routed my RG570, rear control, the new route for the Sustainer when from control cavity to the jack input cavity to get the board to be in the correct position.
