Screw came off my JEM7VWH

A screw came off my JEM7VWH, please take a look at the pictures first:
http://www.ravingnun.net/images/screw/pic1.JPG
http://www.ravingnun.net/images/screw/pic2.JPG

I was restringing my guitar yesturday, and after it was all finished I was tuning it, after tuning it using the machine heads without the nut attached I was stetching the strings doing divebombs and pullups with the tremolo. After doing a bomb dive i heard something pop or crack, I dont know and I couldnt find a missing peice. But today while playing, it still works perfectly, I found a screw on the floor. So then I was looking for where it came from. And at the back of the neck I found a missing hole. Its one of the two screws behind the golden thing where you attach the nut too. Dont know what it is offically called.
Should I just screw it back in? What caused this?

By the way while I was tuning, the golden peice where the nut attaches to or somewhere near that was making sounds, as if the strings were too tight, hard to explain, but this never happened before?

I owe the members of this forum alot.

Sorry my although my camera is 4 megapixels it cant focus at all. And it popped out while I was doing a divebomb. Heres more pictures, I had to use a flashlight to create better ones.

Whats flower focus, is that the flower button I have on my camera?
Save picture As... and resize in your picture viewing program, if it makes it more clear.

Re: Screw came off my JEM7VWH

I doubt it had anything to do with your dives. Its the hex screw that attaches your nut to your neck. jsut pop it back in and screw it in with an allen key that fits. put it back in the sme way it came out (with washer on the screw) if it doesnt screw in, then the nut may have shifted and the hoels are not lined up. If that is the case, then move the nut to the correct position and screw it in. Makes sure its tight, but dont over tighten obviously.

Re: Screw came off my JEM7VWH

Flower focus is a setting on automatic cameras. Your camera should have a setting on a dial or wheel that looks like a little flower. It's designed for close-ups.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the three pictures I saw served the purpose (barely) but you could've done better by backing the camera up.

Try putting the screw back in, but not too tight. If it goes in and stays, you should be all set. Make sure the nut (the gold thing you referred to) is in the right place and not damaged. It was probably just loose in the first place.

If the screw comes out again, you've stripped either the screw or the female end of the nut and it'll need to be replaced.

Thanks guys, there was no problem puting it back in. Just needed someone to calm me down before I freak out on a 2000 dollar guitar.

Weird that a nut screw would just fall out.

Don't over tighten it when you put it back in! Tight enough to keep it in is tight enough.

Re: Screw came off my JEM7VWH

yeah that is weird, never had it happen with any of my guitars before. Maybe it was already loose and when you did the dive bomb it just loosened it more until it just fell out. Not a common occurance, that's for sure.

Re: Screw came off my JEM7VWH

I have never gotten a new guitar from Ibanez that had those screws tight. The first thing I do is get the allen and tighten them up...
