You can check rates at FedEx or UPS .com. All you you need is the postal code in Canada.

Are you shipping the guitar in a hardshell case and approx. how heavy would the resulting parcel be? Also important is the overall size of the parcel. If shipping USPS, if you can fit it in a box that is smaller than 104" length plus girth ([width + depth] X 2) you will get a better rate as it will not be considered "freight." I've managed to ship a hardshell via USPS in a box that was 96" total with plenty of room for bubble wrap and saved a bundle with that size box.

Now, on a raw estimate (if the box is < 104" and somewhere around 25lbs total), 4-10 day airmail parcel post is about $40, EMS is $70; however, whenever I go to the PO to send something international, they always seem to find a quicker, cheaper option than estimated online.

The expensive about cross country shipping that you should watch out for are import fees... in canada they are anywhere between 13-23% depending on the province...

Depends on whether there's a case or not (we don't know yet)... roughly from the #'s I gave, it's a roughly a buck-a-pound more for both methods mentioned. 35lbs is about $50/$90 and change
