serial number #060xxx , what year is that?

Hello,

I have a jem 77FP with the serial number #060xxx.

How can I know in what year was my guitar made?

I read in some place that this serial number is not a real serial number,
so what is the meaning of that?

Thanks

it could mean it was changed, which sucks,

or it could mean u have some 'special' jem.

I don't want to put too much emphasis on my knowledge here, but judging by the responses to other people that have posted about 'odd' jems, its probably that someone changed it.

but I suspect u'll get a reply from rich or someone who will be able to tell u the real facts. I could be totally wrong! Wouldn't be the first time!

More info needed.

Plate #?

JEM plate?

Pickups direct mounted or guard mounted?

And serial # sticker on the back of the head?

here you have the info Rich,

In the head i donīt have any number...., but i can promise you that it is a jem neck.

The plate is a jem with the #060170 made in Japan (of course).
Pickups direct mounted, I donīt need to remove the guard to work with the pickups.

It is a second hand guitar, and I have a floral pattern that i didnīt see before in any picture. The old owner doesnīt know anything.

I bought it in Germany.

could that help you Rich?

Thxs

Just one of those oddball plate #'s I can never remember. Figure it's a 92', 93' would have a serial sticker on the head.
