Signature sound for each JEM - defining tones for models

Since the JEM has evolved so much, I wonder if anyone else thinks they can hear the different tones? *I can definately tell the difference. *

For instance, I know right away when Steve switches to his JEMs on the DLR albums, the Jackson sounds a little more treble-heavy. *

Then on Alien Love Secrets, that is so obviously the Jem7VWH, especially Juice, and Tender Surrender. *

On Fire Garden, the Breed pops up, especially in Hand on Heart, and Warm Regards.

On Ultra Zone, I can definately hear the Breeds in The Blood & Tears, and the Evo is so much different in Jiboom...anyone else hear this stuff?

BTW, I also hear the difference on Die to Live with the Jem7PBK

maybe I'm fooling myself, or just too much of a guitar freak

Signature sound for each JEM

Hand On Heart was recorded with one of Vai's old strats. *I don't know much more about the recordings and what he used on them, but I doubt as many tracks as you have losted were recorded with Breeds. *I am tempted to say most of his newer songs are Evo-dominated, but again, I'm not sure just how often the Breeds show up.

I don't think you can judge by recording tone what guitar he is using....maybe live....but recordings are so subject to the recording equipment used, you know? *So with only the VWH he can get a ton of different sounds.
