Sitting in classical position with a Jem/UV jack socket

I have a J-Custom with a Jem/UV style jack socket. Sometimes I practice sitting in classical position (left foot on a foot stool with guitar resting between both legs).

However with the Jem/UV style jack socket I'm having problems trying to sit in this position as the guitar cable sticks out right where the guitar rests against my right leg.

How do other Jem/UV/J-Custom owners who sit in classical position get around this problem? I'm thinking an angled cable plug might help but I'll need to test this approach.

I remember just sitting at a slight angle with the left leg forward allowed the cable to not touch my other leg. Everyone is different though, so you should probably just find what's most comfortable for you.
