Im torn ...I bought two RG 550 XX ,one in DY ,and one in RF...gotta love those...but now a friend of mine offered a trade...the two guitars for his JEM 90 ...any input?
I feel like closing the deal...it will be my first Jem...but Im also fond of my rgs(except for the P-Us ...gotta change those)

Is this Jem a really better guitar?

Sorry,if I sound lame...just confused ...help?!

yep...my other options would be :

1-one rg (probably the red) + $$

2-Trade PRS for it

I like the DY better than the RF...What about u guys???

I would say keep which ever RG you would prefer and trade the other + cash!

I would keep the PRS for tonal variety and trade one of the 550s and some cash for the jem. I might even just trade both 550s (assuming the Jem is minty) because there is really nothing the 550s can do that the Jem can't do better. The RGs are going for $700 (regularly) - $850 at very best, the 90ths are going for $1900+. It makes sense financially as well as tonally. And no, the signature doesn't do a thing for it.

I wouldn't trade them for a Jem. There's not a Jem out right now that I would trade both my 550s for. But then again I'm not a huge fan of the Jems. If I were you I'd sell some stuff for the cash to just buy it out right. Keep your 550s.
