Some Questions about the JEM777 Series

Are these Guitars impossible to find or am i looking in the wrong places? I just got given a brand new JEM7VWH from my insurance company after snapping my 7DBK neck in half(!) but am looking to sell it and get one of the older JEM777 models now.

The three 777 models i would be interested in are the LNG the DY or possibly the VBK (not those hideous pink ones!)

I have about £1600 to spend (might be able to push towards £2000). Am i sereously overbudgeting, underbudgeting or is that about the right mark?

Are there any issues i should be concerned about i.e have certain clouors faded badly over time?

Some help would be greatly appreciated cos im relatively new to the world of JEMs

Re: Some Questions about the JEM777 Series

You have the right budget, now start getting the word out. Check the London Denmark Street stores (via the web), speak to the Manchester dealers too. They often come up for sale here but conditions vary. The LNGs are going to be the hardest to get hold of as they only made 777 of them.

I have a near mint DY which I would consider letting go of for £2000 but not now.

The 777VBK is probably your cheaper bet...recently one on the bay sold for £920 or so but that's quite high if you ask me. I know what you mean, though, when you've got a guitar in your sights you want it like NOW.

All the info is on this site on the homepage. But, yes, the only difference between the LNG and the DY is the fact that the LNG came with a handrest over the bridge...and Vai's autograph. The LNG is gonna cost you....
