Steve Vai Meet and Greet pass to give away for free

I got this pass from the Theories of Sound CDs I had ordered earlier which is totally useless for me since I do not live in the States.

As a matter of fact, I am auctioning it on the Bay currently (still 18 hours to go) but I do not think anyone will bid for it since there are obviously restrictions for the pass announced on www.vai.com especially the bidding/auction which I find fair enough (because I am not a regular seller anyway and that is the only item I ever sold over the bay).

Since it will be against the rules, I have decided to give it away for free, you will not have to pay me a single dime, just under 1 condition.

I will choose the winner and annouce it here. So, the person will provide me his/her mailing address and the pass will be airmailed to you without any condition.

The deadline will be on 12:00PM Zulu time/Sunday 26 Aug. So, the winner and I will have approx. 2 weeks until the first tour begins.

However, if I happen to sell it on the Bay, this give away will be cancelled. But as I said, I doubt if anyone will buy it and I have no interest in selling it anymore but have no idea how to cancel the bidding (I tried but could not) and can only let it end with no bidders..

I assume that to give it away does not break any rule for the pass and it should still be valid as long as you do not pay for it.

I believe it says "cannot be sold or transferred" on the actual pass.
That may not help your case with the moderators but I don't see how the organisers would know you just gave it to someone, which in my eyes is very admirable. Good on ya.

For people who may be still hasitating if you will be the winner and your user name will be posted here and that may lead to the denial at the concert. I do understand your concern. Therefore, I will not post the user name of the winner but will only post his/her message sent to me on the topic given. He/she will automatically know that it is his/her message without being identified.

This is the best I can do with the pass as a give away. Otherwise, it is a pity that such pass cannot serve someone who is really a true fan of Steve as it should be.

Hello there! First off I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to win your pass. I believe I deserve this pass because I will use it so my wife and I can meet Steve in XXXXXX. I already have 1 pass, but lack 1 more so we both can meet him. We are going down to XXXXXX to see Steve in concert for our 3rd anniversary getaway and we actually have a babysitter for the weekend =) I have been a Vai fan since passion and warfare came out many years back and would love to finally get to meet him. My wife would also love to meet Steve, but at this point we are going to have to toss a coin after the show to see who gets to use the 1 pass we have lol =)
