I thought he mainly used the UV77 for Slip of the Tongue? It was brand new at the time and Slip of the Tongue was right in the middle of the PAW era.

Im not sure about what other guitars he used but i meant, the guitar was mainly used on that album, not as the main guitar, but one of the few places the guitar was used. Thats probably why steve only used them jem once if the UV77 was fresh off the line?

It would totally suck to have Meatloaf standing that close to you.

Re: Steve Vai plays BC Rich?
This belonged to a friend of mine, he contacted Steve and asked to buy it, Steve was building or refurbing his studio at the time, so agreed to sell it, my friend then sold it to Roman
As for the controls, it is the full Active circuit for the bottom neck, twin pre amps, varitone etc etc and the partial active circuit for the top neck, single pre amp
Once I have enough posts I'll add a curcuit explanation

Re: Steve Vai plays BC Rich?
Great guitarist, great guitar. He could play a barn door with strings on it and kick our butts. It doesn't always have to be his signature Ibanez Jem. He has an inexpensive Artcore and that's so different than I would expect, kind of like that PRS.
