Steve Vai Prototype Jem

Hi, I know the legendary story of how Steve Vai told a couple companies to build him a guitar and he would endorse the one who mad the best guitar. I also know obviously that Ibanez made the best one but cannot find a picture of the guitar Ibanez sent him. I was wondering if anyone has come across a picture and if you could share it.

according to the ibanez book, the pink and green snakeskin maxxas was the one that hooked steve.

There is a pic on the above mentioned ibanez book and another on the Japanese Tour Program of the S&R tour. The doble page pic where Steve is sat surrounded by numerous guitars. The Snake Skin Maxxas is behind his left shoulder (it was stolen but maybe returned later because he has the guitar in that pic from 1992-3).

On that image you can also see a custom case for a Flower Pattern guitar with the exact fabrics on the left of the pic.

Yuck....I would have ran far away from Ibanez if they sent me that guitar! He should have played the guitar Tom Anderson made for him.
