I don't think it's strictly that Billy doesn't play with Steve anymore. This is just a different tour.

That is correct. Steve just wanted to do something different with this tour. Billy is busy playing/touring with Tony's latest project. Billy will play with Vai again someday, they just have other things on their plates right now. I'll see Vai this Sat (have EVO tix),that ought to be a blast. I'm hoping to ask Vai if/when we'll get a new Universe and mention that we'd like some maple boards etc. We'll see how the Q&A session goes.
