Swirl (black and Orange) finished and a group shot...

Got my first swirl (1 of 4) back from Darren. Partially assembled it and grouped a few of the family together. Not the greatest picture but I think you will get the idea...

Hope you enjoy... by the way, the one on the left was my attemp at swirling over 13 years ago. Just stated putting it back together.

That looks great!

What are the specs for your orange swirl in terms of woods and pickups etc?

Cheers

Orange/Black is a GREAT mix! Nice choice!

I wish you guys lived closer to me, I'd take some very pro lookin shots of
your axes so we could have some nice high rez wallpaper for the group.

Good pictures arre to come. I just moved and can't find all my equipment. Use to shoot professionally That was a long time ago though...

The one I made is pretty cool looking. The top looks great. The sides and back is a clearcoating nightmare!!!! LOL...The body sounds real good though...

The orange/black. The body was black. When I stirpped it I found it to be a maple body with flame maple top and back but had imperfections. Must have been a custom wood body and they messed it up and painted over it. I was amazed when I saw it years ago. The neck is (of course) maple. This was my favorite guitar for about 4 years. I had stripped it, stained it and matte cleared it. I had a whole bunch of nicks and scratches from stipping it and it looked great. Called it my driftwood guitar...

It has about the best sustain of all my guitars. Hopefully with the paint and clear from Darren that will still be there.

Pickups are Breeds. All my guitars have different combos in them.

Will post some blow ups later....

Dave

Just through this together. More and bigger photos of Orange and Black, the paint job I did and my original swirl from Darren.

My next swirl has been dipped and needs clear. It has an ocean theme. Sea Green, Sea Blue, Sea Aqua and Royal blue. Darren claims it is the prettiest one he has seen. I think he says that about everyone!!! The man loves his work...
