Swirl overload

Hello, it's 2am and I've just had a thought. Would it look awesome or awful if someone (e.g. LGM, EKG) made a swirled vine? I have a vision and I think it might look nice if done with precision and expertise.

I think a swirled neck and/or fretboard might look disgusting though...convince me otherwise!

Could someone generate one of those virtual jem pics?

How about a multi-colored vine?

Check out LGM's work on John Cowan's guitar. (I'd search for it, but I'm a lil lazy right now)

Herc has pictures of swirled necks and fretboards, and I think he had some swirled inlays as well. Check them out on his site.

Yeah, I meant the UVMC kinda colour, i.e. lotsa pink!

Herc's site is down, AFAIK Herc is still out of action. Hope he's okay.

Talk to Jeremy about the swirl inlay .....He almost did a swirled vine on my beach swirl guitar. (I wound up getting some dolphins, an ocean backround, and a mermaid instead). It's a very good concept , and I look forward to seeing what you do with the idea, keep us posted
